Lone Wolf Volleyball

The first scrimmage of the year was a rousing success for the new Coyote Volley Ball Team as they travelled to Erick. The Coyotes looked good out there after only a few practices and are already looking forward to their next match! The coaching staff of Bob Thomason and Julie Jones are working hard to get more matches scheduled, including a possible home game. We'll keep you updated.

The High School Coyotes attended the Oklahoma Challenge Traffic Safety Day today in Mangum. There were several interesting exhibits including an impaired driving demonstration and seat belt rollover simulator. The high schoolers received a lot of valuable and potentially life-saving information on automobile safety.

Archery is in full swing at Lone Wolf School

The Lone Wolf Coyote Archery Team has started indoor practice now that their safety net is in place. The Oklahoma wind was not very conducive to bow and arrow accuracy during outdoor practices. Coach Kendra is prioritizing safety during these practice sessions and her team members seem to be enjoying themselves.

The Little Coyotes visit the Little Library.

The Pre-K/Kindergarten and First/Second Graders spent part of the afternoon checking out books from Lone Wolf's Little Library. The library is one of many projects of the Lone Wolf Greeters Club. Looks like they found some really great reads!

Grandparents Day Breakfast

Grandparents breakfast at Lone Wolf School was a huge success! We had a big crowd in the cafeteria for Claudia's famous biscuits and gravy. It was great seeing such a large community turnout. Ms. Schroeder's pre-K/Kindergarten class recited a short poem to honor our guests after Ms. Meinert and her students led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

New Doors being installed at Lone Wolf School

Thanks to the 2023 law passed by the Oklahoma legislature, Security Program Funds were given to each Oklahoma school to help improve school safety. Lone Wolf Schools decided to spend some of this funding on new, more secure doors for all the outside entrances. Pete's Glass in Mangum has been contracted to install the new doors, increasing the safety and security of our students and staff.
